Activities at the Farm

Spanning over 70 rolling acres, our farm offers abundant open space for outdoor activities. With vineyards, fruit trees, vegetable gardens, poultry, a pond, and various field crops, there is always something happening here. (Please follow the link here if you want to see pictures and videos taken from the previous growth seasons).  We invite you to visit us with your family and friends to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings, watch the seasons change, photograph wildflowers, or catch a sunset in the vineyard. Our mission is to share the joy of farmland and local products with our community. You can participate in the following activities:

Pick-your-own

Throughout the season, fresh vegetables, fruits, and eggs are available for harvest. Picking your own produce directly from the farm ensures maximum freshness and offers a unique look at how your food is grown. We post "ready to pick" lists at our onsite farmstand and on the "Available" page of our website. Payments can be made via Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay, or check; please note we do not accept cash or credit cards

Grow-your-own

For those who want to garden but lack the space, we offer land plots tailored to your needs. Please contact us to discuss your requirements. You are welcome to use the farm’s water and tools at no cost, and we often have seedlings, compost, and trellis materials available for purchase.

Join activity groups

If you’re interested in growing or raising something but worried about the daily commitment, our activity groups are a perfect solution. By sharing responsibilities with others, you can enjoy the process and the harvest without needing to be on the farm every day.  Following are a few activity groups currently available.  Please contact us if you have interest in joining a group or even want to form a new group.

Poultry Group: Raising chicken is a dream for many people. But it is also a daunting task since there are just too many things that need to be considered.  What if I need to take a vacation for two weeks? Our poultry group is formed to share the responsibilities and to ensure a steady, self-sufficient egg supply by ourselves. With the existing chicken facility, we started with 100 chicks and 5 gooselings.  Everyone works once a week to take care of them and share experiences and solutions. Now we have plenty of eggs to supply each family and extra eggs for sale.

Vegetable Group: Many people enjoy growing their own vegetables, but results can be unpredictable; some crops may fail while others thrive too well. Families often find themselves eating the same produce everyday and begging friends to take some away. Our vegetable group was formed to diversify our harvests and share the responsibilities of gardening.  We grow a wide variety of produce—including leafy greens, beans, peppers, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, melons, eggplant, corn, sweet potatoes, and pumpkins—to provide our families with fresh, seasonal vegetables.

Grape/Fruit Group: If you have planted grapes or fruit trees in your backyard, you may have found it challenging to get them to bear fruit, even after years of waiting. Proper sun exposure is often not enough; pests can be difficult to manage, and harvests are frequently lost to birds or local wildlife. Successful growing requires the right environment and consistent care. Why not join forces and do it right together?

We currently have one acre of fruit trees and three acres of grapes in the farm. They are between 1-4 years old, and we are expecting some harvest this year.  We are looking for experienced people to join the group, especially people with experience of grafting and pruning. We can learn from each other to increase the chance of success, and share some responsibilities and produce.

Subscribe Eggs or Vegetables

If you prefer to enjoy our eggs or vegetables without the hands-on work, you can sign up for a subscription.  Subscription helps us with planning and offers you a discount.   We will notify you when the product is ready, and you can pick them up somewhere near your home.  For practical reasons, we only subscribe to people who live near the farm, Bridgewater, or someone who comes to the farm regularly.

Fishing

Our pond is a great spot to enjoy a few relaxing hours of fishing. It’s home to plenty of bluegills and some largemouth bass. Due to the limited space, fishing activity is by appointment only.
